Chilli Wontons

For the Wontons

Block firm tofu, crumbled

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 inch ginger, minced

2 spring onions

1 tsp Chinese 5 spice

1 tbsp soy sauce

Wonton wrappers

For the Chilli Oil

2 tbsp crispy chilli garlic

2 tbsp peanut oil

2 tbsp soy sauce

Sesame seeds, spring onion (garnish)

Method:

  • Mix the filling for the wontons in a large bowl until it forms a paste consistency.

  • Put 1 tsp of filling into each wrapper, wet the edges, then fold to seal the edges. Wet the new edges and fold again into a parcel shape.

  • Steam the wontons until soft, then place in a bowl and sprinkle over the crispy chilli oil.

  • Heat the oil and pour over top of the wontons along with the soy sauce.

  • Finish by garnishing with sesame seeds and spring onions.
